The growing popularity the sharing of images, coupled with the global emergence of social tools like Facebook (now with 600 Million users), Flickr, and new kids on the block - like Clixtr and Instagram - has created a whole new category of modern photography, called ‘Social Photography’.
Throw in the fact that so much of this can be done with a mobile device with HD camers, 5-8MP cameras built right in, we are seeing an explosion in ‘Social Photography’, and it’s just getting started.
